Jan. 6 Disqualifying Testimony Reject by Pence

  • Glenn Kirschner, an ex-federal prosecutor, criticized Pence for refusing to appear before Jan. 6’s panel.
  • Kirschner claimed that Pence is saying that Americans don’t have the right to hear his “relevant testimony”.
  • Trump pressed Pence to overturn the 2020 election results. But he refused.

Glen Kirschner, an ex-federal prosecutor, criticised President Mike Pence’s claim that Congress did not have “no right to” his testimony on the Capitol riot.

Pence had told CBS earlier this year that Congress “has no right to hear my testimony.” Kirschner attacked the former vice president’s position in a Thursday video.

He stated, “The seven words Mike Pence said recently that I contend disqualify them from ever holding office again.”

“Let us be clear: Mike Pence is saying that, by extension, the American people don’t have the right to hear my relevant testimony, as Congress attempts to make laws to stop this from ever happening again,” said Mike Pence.

Kirschner claimed that Congress has sufficient grounds to question Pence’s repeated attempts by Trump to overturn the 2020 presidential elections.

Pence still contemplates a White House bid. Trump launched his 2024 presidential campaign recently.
