The House-Printing Robot is Creating a $7.28 Trillion Market

Apis Cor is an innovative construction technology company that uses 3D printing technology to create low-rise buildings automatically. The startup creates giant 3D printers that can ‘print’ houses using their patented concrete blend. The result is that houses can now be built in as little as two months rather than almost a decade.

Already, the company is gaining significant traction. The technology is being used in many locations around the world, including Dubai, Boca Chica and Texas. StartEngine has raised more than $800,000. The equity crowdfunding raise was launched by the company. Apis Cor offers affordable, durable, and fast-built houses and aims at revolutionizing the housing market to address the $7.28 billion construction market.

Global housing markets are in desperate need of a solution to the problem of lack of homes, especially in the United States. Apis Cor’s robotic technology speeds up the construction process. It can build walls for single-family homes in 60 hours instead of the traditional construction time of 5-8 weeks. This would make it possible to build finished houses in 2-3 months rather than the current 7-12 months.

Apis Cor targets a highly lucrative sector that is expected to grow rapidly, with the construction 3D printing market estimated at $40 billion by 2027. Apis Cor’s main focus is residential housing. However, the company’s technology can also be applied to large-scale infrastructure projects, commercial and industrial buildings as well as storage facilities and warehouses.

Apis Cor’s 3D printed houses are designed to be hurricane and earthquake-resistant, built in compliance with international building codes, and can be up to 30% more affordable than traditionally built homes. The company leases printers to construction firms and only sells 3D printing material as a B2B. This makes it a popular option for homebuilders and developers who want to increase their construction output in order to meet increasing demand.

ApisCor’s greatest advantage is its compact robot design that can be easily transported. This allows it to accommodate any size building. Due to its proven technology, Apis Cor has already achieved many notable achievements, including 3D printing the largest building in Dubai. This Guinness World Record is a result of Apis Cor’s expertise.

Apis Cor also received approval from Montana’s state level and was recognized in NASA’s “3D Printed Habitat Challenge,” which awarded a total monetary prize of $213,677.31 to its participation. Apis Cor has 117 LOIs (from construction companies) and 18 pre-paid purchases for its printers. This puts it on the right track to be a major player in the US construction industry.
