Loma Linda women worked in printing industry | Obituaries

DeAnna Stowers, a Loma Linda resident who worked in printing, died Oct. 12, 2023. Her family was by her side. She was 67.

She was born on the 51st Birthday of Charles F. Whitaker (her maternal grandfather) in Pomona, California. She loved to celebrate their birthdays together.

She was the youngest child of three. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in the Inland Empire, and she attended Chaffey High School.

She married Matthew R. Souter, and in 1980 gave birth their daughter Megan. In 1986, the two separated. She married Terry G. Stowers for a second marriage from 1990 until 2001.

She has worked in the print industry for over 45 years, 25 of which were spent at Loma Linda Printing Services.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Chappell, Fay Gorden and Deborah Lawless.

She was survived by her one child, Megan Hopkins and her son in law Matthew Hopkins. Her grandchildren Jason, Brandon, and Emily Hopkins and brother Donald Chappell.

She will join her many family members in the mausoleum in Bellevue Memorial Park at Ontario, California.
